Worshipping Intercession-Wednesday, December 3, 2014
FOCUS – as the demonic spirit of racism moves across our nation, deceiving, dividing, and destroying, we need to gather in humility, love, and peace to stand against racism and pray that black and white Christians in Kirbyville and the land of JASPER will not quench but be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The demonic spirit of racism mocks Godliness, exalts ungodliness, spreads division, inspires emotional sensuality, and causes a void against the Holy Spirit
Jude 1:17-19 But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they were saying to you, “In the last time there shall be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts.” These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit.
The opposite spirit of racism is a humble and selfless loving concern and care for others
Philippians 2:3-4 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Racism is a demonically inspired way of thinking, a “fortress” of emotionally charged thoughts that are actually against God and personal obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroyingspeculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
Praise To The Lord, The Almighty
This Is The Day
WE STAND embracing and declaring Truth…
We stand with our God, declaring that all of us—black and white—are created in God’s image
Genesis 1:27 And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
We stand with our God, declaring that hearts, not skin color, is the issue
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”
Captain Of My Heart
We stand with our God, declaring that we will show no partiality
Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God.
Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus
We stand with our God and Lord, declaring that He is our only peace
Ephesians 2:14-15 For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace,
You Are My Refuge
WE PRAY for humility, love, peace, and the Holy Spirit…
Lord Jesus, confront all of us—black and white Christians—with the need and opportunity to choose humility and reject pride
James 4:6 …“God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”
Lord Jesus, confront all of us—black and white Christians—with the need and opportunity to love instead of hate
Proverbs 10:12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all transgressions.
1 John 2:9 The one who says he is in the light and yet hates his brother is in the darkness until now.
Lord Jesus, confront all of us—black and white Christians—with Your ways of peace instead of anger
James 1:20 for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.
Lord Jesus, confront all of us—black and white Christians—with personal awareness of how we are grieving the Holy Spirit and draw us to humbly ask You to again fill us with Your Spirit
Ephesians 4:30-31 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
Ephesians 5:17-18 So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is….be filled with the Spirit,
